Surya Centers

Surya World is a global community with a variety of activities and projects around the world. In the West, we have six centers that are coordinated by Surya Yoga teachers. There you can practice Suryashtanga Yoga, Meditation and other disciplines on a regular basis, participate in local activities and connect with a community of benevolent people. What does "Surya" mean?

Surya is the Sanskrit name for the sun, symbolizing light, energy, and vitality. In yoga and Ayurveda, Surya represents the life-giving force and is honored through practices like Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation).

Members of the Surya team have established Centers in various cities in France, Canada and Island. Refer to the menu item Centers to learn more about their exact locations, activities and contact persons. 

If you are not close to any of these centers, please get in touch via our Contact page. We will be happy to discuss and see if we can meet up.

Surya World offers in-depth yoga teach trainings (450h) that include not only asanas but also ayurveda and yogic philosophy. Our trainings are in small groups, they include a two weeks trip to India and last over one year. People from any country are welcome to participate.
