Prema means “love” in Sanskrit—and that is precisely the guiding principle behind every PremaNature product.
Founded in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, PremaNature is the result of an international collaboration between people from Europe, Nepal, and India, all united by a shared belief: nature holds everything we need to care for the body, mind, and soul.

High-quality, authentic, organic products

All raw materials are organic, sourced from local producers or made on-site, avoiding industrial production lines and the chemical additives that are common in the incense and wellness product market today. The products are handmade, free from chemical additives and synthetic fragrances—a rarity in the industry.

A project rooted in humanity and solidarity

The initiative is also deeply human. The production team is composed of rural women who have been thoroughly trained to create high-quality products, thereby providing them with a decent income and a meaningful role in their community.
A portion of the profits is also dedicated to education, housing, and food for children in South India.

At Surya Montreal, we had the opportunity to meet the PremaNature team in person during a trip to South India—and we were immediately impressed by the quality, care, and values that drive this project. We are excited to introduce them to you here in Canada.

You’ll find two types of PremaNature incense at our studio in Montreal: traditional incense sticks and dhoops.

Incense

Incense helps create a serene energy when practicing yoga or meditation. But it can also be incorporated into your daily life, where it becomes a valuable tool for creating a soothing atmosphere, marking a transitional moment in your day, or simply taking care of your space and your well-being.

Dhoops

Dhoops are incense rolls without a central stick, producing denser smoke and a particularly potent fragrance. Dhoops have been recognized for millennia for their purifying properties: purifying and cleansing the air in a space is, in fact, a practice found in many indigenous traditions around the world, from smudging ceremonies in North America to Vedic rituals in India.
